Oyo Gov Abiola Ajimobi Travels To Uk Hrs After Ibadan Bloodbath That Political Thugs Kill Police Inspector, Others & Wreck Havoc  On Many Lives!

Information filtering out of his base indicate, Governor of Oyo state is out of the country.

He reportedly jetted to the United Kingdom just hours after the political carnage that resulted in the death of many, including a Police Inspector, sustaining of gun shot wounds by an acting Divisional Police Officer, (DPO) and a Divisional Traffic Officer (DTO) and many private citizens. Property destruction was not left out of the carnage that caught the attention of the whole nation.

The mayhem which transpired on Friday November 21 2014 was sparked off at Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state - and the local government area of Governor Ajimobi.

It was kicked started at the final ceremony Mr Ajimobi's 'Meet the People Tour' and spread to other parts of the state.

Though police are still investigating the immediate cause, political parties in the state have been trading blames.

'Interestingly the Governor did not even wait for dust to settle on the tragic incident before he jetted out...such a sensitive person this our governor!' a source stated.

Just like the source, opposition have taken note of this development and come out to condemn it.

In a press statement signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Accord party desecribed the trip 'an awful', insensitive' and 'an abdication of his major role as Chief Security Officer'.

'“To our surprise, we saw another group of hoodlums who were protesting the arrest made by the police, and were shooting sporadically letting loose hell on everybody. Some of our men had to ferry the acting DPO to safety in a neaby filling station.

“In the crossfire, one of our men, an inspector, was shot in the head. He died on the spot, The acting DPO sustained gunshot injuries, while the Divisional Traffic Officer was not spared. In fact, as of now, nobody can say actually how many policemen and innocent people were injured,” the police source said

'the crisis extended to other parts of Ibadan, making areas in South Eastern part of the city, namely Idi Arere and Born Foto, deserted as residents fled when political thugs engaged one another in bloody clashes.

Soon after, it was learnt,  the fracas extended to Iyana Lodge and Popoyemoja areas of the city.
