Further revelations from the report have it that Tompolo’s latest property is ‘a KNM, a fast- attack craft now used in fighting piracy in Nigeria’s waterways’.
The battle ships are now said to be part of the operations of Global West Vessel Service, a privately owned firm controlled by Tompolo which is said to provide maritime security for Nigerian Maritime Safety Agency.
Tracing the manner of the acquisition, the report has it that the battle ships were first sold to CAS Global, a British security company - with the required export license from the Nigeria’s Ministry of
Foreign Affairs for such a deal –who in turn sold them to Tompolo.
On the book holder of the battle ships, Global West Vessel Service is defined as under ‘marine patrolling contract’ with the Federal Government.
