Years Frozen Out
Ex Council Boss, Tunde Braimoh Gets Party Ticket To Return To Power In Contest That Had His Main Backer, Abiodun Sunmola Beaten.

After years frozen out, former local council boss, Tunde Buraimoh is set return to main stream politicking- and power.

He has secured the right to officially fly the banner of his party, All Progressives Congress in the coming general elections.

Buraimoh wants to represent one of the state constituencies in Kosofe area of Lagos state.

He was a former local government chairman of Kosofe.

He tenure was fraught with allegations of abuse of office, side lining of leaders and general attitude that put many at bay.

He had found it hard to secure any other 'appointment' after the expiration of his tenure. The former council boss was labelled contending with economic difficulties. He compounded his political decision makers when he defected to rival party. He later

Tunde Braimoh

retraced his steps when his sojourned turned futile.

After years of pleas- he appears to have finally gotten a foothold in his attempt at staging a return to political relevance.

But it wasn't smooth sailing for. His major backer and party leader, Chief Abiodun Sunmola was man handled and severely roughened up.

Pelted with satchets of water and majorly abused, it was the intervention of the Police that saved the Lagos East Senatorial District leader from his assailants.

He was accused of attempts to impose candidates on the people of the area.

The contest in the area - APC primary election for State House of Assembly aspirants -  had earlier turned a bloody affair with bottles and related weapons freely used - before it was postponed to the day Sunmola was attacked and buraimoh emerged candidate of the party.
